Understanding the cloud environment

Understanding the environment in question is a crucial step of on-boarding a Managed Services client. This sets the foundation for efficient cloud infrastructure management.

Analysis of the environment is done through running an Azure Resource Inventory (ARI) script. This is a comprehensive tool designed for providing a detailed view of the existing Azure environment.

From the results of the ARI script, existing issues can be identified and a baseline for monitoring and management can be established.

Managing the Environment

What are the 5 pillars of Azure and AWS?

These pillars are represented through recommendations provided based on what Azure/AWS has identified as a concern. These recommendations are exported from the respective portal and transferred to our DevOps board as work items to be completed, effort is also estimated for each recommendation/work item.

The necessary work is then performed over the period of the sprint and where applicable, some recommendations are exempted for various reasons.
